We all spend far too much time obsessing about what happened in the past or what may happen in the future. These are ego based states which prevent us from living in the present moment or the Holy Ground.

The Holy Ground is as author Marriane Williamson states where “eternity meets linear time”. Neither the past nor the future exist other than in our minds. The former is a recollection of past events (past present moments) with our own unique interpretation about those events and the latter is a projection into the future of what may occur in the future (imagined future present moments).

The old ego of course (which likes to edge God out) is focussed on making us slaves to its negative thinking. The ego relies on linear time for its survival and fights any attempts to divert attention away from its power base. Yet the ego does not exist in reality. We allow this bundle of energy to divert our attention away from our true life which only ever exists in the NOW! We have become enslaved in lives where we experience many difficulties, dramas, pain and suffering.

The only creative power that we have is located in the present which is where we can receive God’s gift – our birthright as fully empowered creative beings. This is where we connect with the One Consciousness or as many call it God. This is where we gain access to the miraculous. It is truly the source of endless opportunities and untapped potential. It is where we can experience God’s love. This is where we belong.

The only real question to ask ourselves is whether we want to be masters of our own destinies and be at cause in our lives and living our lives more in the present or do we prefer to live our lives in default mode moving endlessly between the polarities of past and future attracting into our lives what may?
