Are You Intuit?

As five sensory human beings we rely primarily upon knowledge and logic to navigate our way through our everyday lives.

As multi-sensory human beings we have unlimited access to the guidance of not only our higher selves but of other more evolved energies. This guidance is often referred to as intuition.

So how do we access this intuition and how do we differentiate between it and our logical mind?

The first step in accessing this guidance is to quieten the mind. In computer terminology imagine trying to access information from a server when your local memory is full! The effect is the same. Incessant thinking will block access to higher guidance and understanding.

In determining whether something is intuitive guidance or not a simple rule of thumb is whether it feels right without having to over analyse it. Intuion is heart felt. It is not a mental faculty.

Unfortunately we have been trained not to accept anything at face value. We believe it is only safe to act once we have analysed it from a logical perspective and have weighed up all the pros and cons. This often leads to “analysis paralysis” where nothing gets done. It can take some time and practice to be comfortable with following your intuition.

Even if it feels scary and you are uncertain of the potential consequences you will generally be better off having made the choice to follow your gut instinct rather than to remain stuck in the status quo. Remember that life is all about change whether we see it or not. Change is happening every minute of every day. Change is the  fulcrim for growth and evolution (personal and impersonal).

Intuition is instinctual. There will have been many moments in your life when you have done something or not done something for no particular reason only to discover later that very decision may have saved your life or turned out to have been the best decision you could ever have made.

Learn to trust life more. Fear will keep us small and stop us from living the lives we were intended to live.
