A little daylight please!

These days there is alot of darkness about – tragedy, loss of life and drama everywhere! It makes one start to wonder what the point of it all is?

“I’m sure there is an abundance of good news (light) out there however we don’t seem to hear much about that as the newsmedia seems to like to focus on controversey, doom and gloom and evil doings! Is that because that is all the viewers are interested in do you think or perhaps it more that projecting bad news keeps the ordinary pundits in their place – scared to move a muscle lest they be stomped on from a great height!”

Fear is a tool that has been used for centuries by those in power to keep those not in power in subjugation.

The fundamental institutions of society (which include the newsmedia) have vested interests (money and power) to ensure that the public  cannot and should not be allowed to rock the proverbial boat which remains afloat on a sea of apathy!

The constant portrayal of a dangerous world is a necessity if the status quo is to be preserved. To quote Bruce Springsteen there is a “Darkness at the Edge of Town”.

Fear is the product of dark contracted thinking. Love on the other hand is the experience of light, expansive thinking.

We become enlightened when we choose to spend our time focussing on the “good stuff” and as we do so we attract more of the same to us. The converse is also true.

Darkness is an absence of colour. Lightness is the radiation of all colours.

Darkness occurs when we become disconnected from our souls and live our lives totally from our splintered personalities. When we maintain that soulful connection notwithstanding our splintered personas we shed some light on what can otherwise be a dark world. When we turn on the light darkness disappears and we start to see things with greater clarity and understanding.

It is useful to remember that we are born into this physical world with a fraction of the energy of our true soul. Those facets of our personalities that manifest in our lives are either negative areas where we need healing and growth (where there is darkness) or are positive energies (where there is light) that are to assist us in our human and spiritual journey over many lifetimes. This leads us onto a discussion about Karma but that is for another time.

Remember to turn on the light!
