“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”

Dr Seuss

If you don’t like green eggs and ham just say so! Otherwise you will end up eating something you don’t like just to make others happy.

Being authentically real means that you always remain true to yourself.

There are many pressures today for us to blend in and not make a fuss. We may choose to shy away from the lime-light and opt for a quietly desperate life! Desperate because it is not who we are. Deep down we want to shout out loud our excitement for life and our passion for living a life of meaning.

When I think about thats what I’ve done for much of my life. Why? All because when I was at primary school one of my less than enlightened teachers decided to ridicule me in front of my class mates. From that point on I decided being just me wasn’t good enough anymore so I developped an unquenchable first for proving myself and set about pursuing one achievement after another.

Looking back over my life while my achievements were impressive there was within me a nagging feeling of still not being good enough.

The impact of that event had a far reaching influence over my life until I became conscious of this and made the choice to return to my BE- ginning.

The further we drift away from our authenticity the unhappier we become. While we may have all the trappings of success beneath that superficial veneer we struggle to find meaning in our lives.

It is not until as Dr Wayne Dyer says “we make the shift from ambition to meaning” that we arrive back home to a sense of wholeness.
